Terry L. Warfield, 56, a nurse at the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, was arrested by the Delaware State Police Office of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, after he overdosed on Oxcodone pills. He had stolen the pills from an on-site pharmacy at the hospital. Police used blood and urine samples to confirm that the nurse did consume the opiates, which are prescribed to relieve pain. He was charged with obtaining a controlled substance by theft, and has been released on bail.
